🌟 ¿Qué viene ahora? What’s Next for El Rincón Borikén?

Todavía estamos con la emoción del éxito de nuestro primer pilot program—el Tres Reyes Toy Drive. Seeing the community come together to celebrate our traditions was a powerful reminder of why I started this nonprofit.

Now that we’ve stepped into the new year, many of you have asked: "¿Qué es lo próximo?"

The Vision is Growing (Nuestra Visión Crece)

While the toy drive was our first big move, I have been working tras bastidores (behind the scenes) on a roadmap for the rest of the year. I have some very special cultural projects in the works—cosas interactivas that will help us connect with our history and our antepasados in hands-on ways.

I’m keeping the specific details bajo llave for just a little longer to ensure everything is perfect when we launch. But here is what I can tell you:

• Cultural Workshops: We are planning events that move beyond just talk and get us manos a la obra. Think color, rhythm, and tradition.

• Intergenerational Connection: I am designing ways for our juventud to learn directly from the sabiduría of our elders.

• Preserving our "Hidden" History: We are working on resources to help our community reclaim parts of our heritage that have been overlooked for too long.

Staying True to the Mission (Fiel a la Misión)

As we grow, I want to be clear about one thing: El Rincón Borikén is staying small. I believe the meaning of this organization lives in the personal connections we make. No estoy buscando construir una corporación gigante; I am building a home. By staying intentional and focused, we make sure that the "Island's Embrace" remains authentic for everyone who walks through our doors.
